Its time for our first every coffee bean review!

The Scottish Hebridies are renowned for their beautiful scenery. Todays Coffee comes all the way from Harris, the southern part of the isle of Lewis & Harris.

Surrounded by rugged mountains in the north and beautiful beaches on the west, Harris’ contrasting landscape makes it a unique spot for a coffee roastery. The Temple Roastery on harris is where todays beans are from.

I recieved the below bag of their “seasonal espresso” back in June 2024 as a gift from my partner and I have been super impressed with the taste.

A bag of coffee on some leaves

I had made my first cup of the seasonal espresso in a V60 and it was like when the food critic in Ratatouille is transported back to his childhood dinner table, I was shocked.

The coffee was strong and surprisingly fruity something I hadn’t experienced with shop bought beans before. ( I immediately froze some of the beans to make sure I could relive this experience in a few months time).

While I haven’t visited Temple roastery myself, the scenery and delicious coffee are enough to make me want to plan a trip for summer.

I need to rate this 19/20, seriously delicious! The only thing missing is that I havent been in person yet.

You can get coffee roasted at Temple on the A.S Apothecary website for around £12.50/250g. Links below
