Did you hear that Dear Green coffee was named as Roast magazine’s Micro-roastery of the year 2025?

The roastery opened its doors back in 2011, taking it’s name from the Gaelic meaning of Glasgow – dear green place.

After receiving a lovely gift of their city blend, I thought it was the perfect time to write a wee review.

Dear Green – City Blend

We brewed ours strong with a V60 to try and were really impressed with the flavours.

It reminded me of strong dark chocolate (somewhere near 85% Cacao), with a deep fruity initial taste and bitter end notes. There is a strong &l rich flavour with this one. I think this would be delicious in espresso form, so can’t wait to try that.

An indulgent cup for any dark chocolate lovers, I’d rate this around the 17/20 mark. Can’t wait to try the rest of the award-winning range.
