Aran Bakery – Dunkeld
18/20
This wee bakery is the talk of the town. With their famous sourdough to their freshly baked sweet treats, It’s well worth the trip to Dunkeld. Be sure to get here early cause they do sell out. The coffee was subtle but tasty. I’d recommend having it outside so you can take in the stunning scenery that surrounds the town.
Daily – Dennistoun, Glasgow
18/20
This place is great. It’s slightly off the beaten track which makes it even more rewarding (My inner hipster loved it). The highliht for me is the pastries, I tried the almond pain au chocolat which should be illegal it’s so tasty. The team are very friendly and up for a chat. Theres a couple of outdoor tables which are pretty peaceful on a dry day. Worth a visit!
Mana Coffee – Dundee
17/20
Probably the best (and biggest) pain au chocolat in Dundee. Only 7 minutes walk from the V&A, Mana is a really cool small coffee shop with MEGA pastries. They also have a run club and cycling team for those looking to meet some locals.
Papercup – Great Western Road
18/20
Papercup is one of the west ends most popular spots. Their coffee is roasted locally and they make one of the best americanos on Great Western Road. The menu is packed with tasty brunch time treats. Id recommend visiting a few time to try more dishes. One of my favourite coffee shops in Glasgow.
